July and August Favorites

Hey guys!
As I mentioned before, these past two months have been hectic with all the work and travel on my calendar. My brother and his wife just recently had their first child, and my sister should be having her daughter very soon! I'm a very excited Auntie! I was able to attend my sister’s baby shower in Miami and then fly to D.C to meet my sweet nephew! Now that I’m back, I'm excited to share some of my personal photos from my trip with all of you as well as my some of my favorite travel essentials for this month.

Cross body purse:
Cross body bags are perfect for traveling! It hangs comfortably on your body without you having to physically hold on to it. It also makes it harder for you to lose your belongings or and be a target of theft. I currently am carrying the Lulu Print Fringe Cross body bag that I got from Nordstrom’s BP section. I love that this bang goes with all my outfits and has so much room! It has all sorts of pockets, but is still fairly small.

Phone case:
A cute phone case is essential for traveling! I purchased this case when I first bought my phone months ago and still use it to this day. I'm still obsessed. I usually struggle with finding a cute case that also protects my phone and this case does it all! My phone has taken many tumbles and shows no damage thanks to my Sonix case. I like that it has both the jelly and hard case, which provides extra protection for my phone. Sonix has so many designs that are to die for. I highly recommend you check them out!
Hand Sanitizer:
One thing I always carry when traveling is hand sanitizer! We all know that airports and airplanes are infested with germs, so I make sure to always have a yummy scented sanitizer on hand (no pun intended). I love the Bath and Body Works sanitizers because they’re the perfect size for traveling and they have the most amazing scents! As part of the store’s promotional discount, the more you buy the cheaper it is, so you better stock up.
Makeup For Ever:
For my birthday I always get a free beauty sample from Sephora. This year, my gift was from Makeup For Ever. The sample came with their best selling mascara and lipstick. I first started using the  Smoky Extravagant mascara which I quickly came to love! The shape of the brush was so unique and allowed me to reach every lash! It gave my lashes the long and full look that I love so much. I didn't try the lipstick until my trip to Miami. I'm not usually a lipstick user, especially if it’s red. I have never found a shade of red that looks good on me until this Lipstick.  The color is Rouge Artist Natural and it is a very light red color which looks amazing on many. I've seen this color on a few of my friends and it looks good on all of them. It’s like a universal red lipstick that is hydrating and long lasting. It doesn’t have a matte finish, but it is moisturizing and tastes yummy! Don't let the color deceive you, what you see on the stick is not as dark when applied to the lips.
Music:
One thing that makes sitting on a plane a little more bearable is having good music! Here are some songs to add to your playlist for your next big trip! Enjoy, and don't forget your headphones!

First stop Miami!
Miami is one of my favorite places to visit! Miami's culture is very different from what I'm used to here in Portland and is among one of the most glamorous cities I've been to. I decided while I was there I would try to fit in with the locals as best as I could. My first stop was a local salon called Blo where I got none other than a blowout. I was definitely hesitant at first because I associated a blowout with the little girls from Toddlers and Tiaras. As she washed and blow dried my hair I began to feel at ease assured that  I would not be walking out of salon with big Texas hair. At the Blo Bar you get to choose from a menu the style you want to accompany your blowout. I decided to go with the beach waves because hello, I'm in Miami! After I was done I felt sassy and ready to take over the town! It was the perfect look for the baby shower! If you ever stop by Miami and want to pamper yourself I definitely recommend you check out Blo.

The Final Look!

A look at the whole room! It looked beautiful.
Crazy View in MIA

Washington D.C
I love D.C! There is always something to do or see, I never get tired of being a tourist in the District. In fact I spent a day visiting the many sites and museums with my mom. We visited the Museum of Natural Science and made a quick stop at the White House. The main reason I was there though was to finally meet my sweet nephew Shayan! I'm so obsessed with him! He is the sweetest, most gentle baby. My favorite part was seeing my brother no longer in the role of just my brother, but also a husband and father! I must say, he and his wife are both doing an incredible job. I can't wait to see Shayan grow and be the incredible person he is destined to be! At this age he isn't doing much but eating and sleeping, but the few precious hours a day he was awake were very special, especially when I saw him in my own mothers arms. He looked right at her as she spoke to him, taking in every word she said. He was truly listening to her and looking at her as if he knew exactly what she was saying. It was quite a sight to see. I can't wait to visit again soon!

Thank you to Kelara and Frank as well as Kiarash and Pouneh for letting me visit! Miss you all and can't wait to see you all again soon!

June Favorites!

Hey!
I hope you are all enjoying summer so far! The weather in Oregon has been pretty wet, but I'm hopeful it will heat up soon. As you can see, my blog went through a little makeover now that summer has arrived! Let me know what you all think! The products I am sharing with you all this month are items I've been using forever and absolutely love. Some are perfect for everyday wear, and others are for the days you’re feeling bold. I hope this post is helpful to you and make sure to leave me comments with questions or suggestions!

Physicians Formula: NUDE

I like to think of this palette as the affordable version of the Naked Palette. The colors are perfect for any color eye. The palette goes from light to dark and can be mixed and matched for the perfect look. I love this product because of its mineral base, and it’s perfect for those of you with sensitive skin! This is just one of my favorite palettes from Physicians Formula, they do of course have many palettes specifically for each eye color!

Nyx: Roll on Eye Shimmer

This is my go to product for when I'm in a rush and still want to look put together! They are a little bolder than most shadows because they are technically shimmers. I promise with this product you will make a statement. I prefer the nudes in this line because It works better for everyday use. This product is fun and looks fabulous on everyone. I promise to share a pic next time I wear this just to fully do it justice. This look is great alone or with a thin line of liner!

Loreal: Colour Riche 800 Fairest Nude

I'm usually not one for lipstick, but I am obsessed with this color! It is the perfect nude! It's classy and feels incredible on my lips. It's light and feels almost like a balm. I love this product because not only is it moisturizing, but it stays on lips for a fair amount of time. I'm telling you the search for the perfect nude lipstick is over, because this is the one.

Jordana: Fabuliner Liquid Eye Liner

I always struggled with liquid liner until I found this. This goes on like a pen and makes a clean, straight line. For anyone like me who has trouble with putting eyeliner on, this is the one for you. This does not fade or smear easily!

Wet and Wild: Color Icon 650D

These colored eye liners are the perfect way to make your eyes pop a little! I'm obsessed with the purple at the moment as well as the gold and blue. I just run this along my water line to add a little color to my look! This will make your eyes look bigger and brighter making it the perfect product for the summer.

May Favorites

Hey Guys!
I hope you’re all enjoying the month of May as much as I am! As summer slowly approaches my makeup regime changes and I find myself wearing the bare minimum because nothing’s worse than heavy makeup during the hot summer weather. This month’s products are basically all I wear during the summer unless there is a special occasion so lets get to it!

Rimmel BB Cream:

BB cream is a fairly new product that has hit the market. It helps save time when doing your makeup because it basically has everything you need in one. The Rimmel BB Cream contains primer, moisturizer, foundation, concealer, and sunscreen etc! It’s perfect for the summer because not only does it save time but it gives you full coverage with one just one step. It feels light on the skin and like a tinted moisturizer leaves you glowing.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder:

This is the perfect touch to any makeup look! It evens out your skin tone and gives you a complete look. I love that it is really light and doesn't create a thick cakey effect. This powder has been compared to many high end products and proves to be one of the best affordable pressed powders. This really complements the Rimmel BB cream to give you that natural summer look.

Maybelline Falsies Mascara:

This is one of the few mascaras I always come back to. It truly makes your eyelashes look false . I've had many people ask me if my lashes were real while wearing this mascara! Not only does it add volume to your lashes, it also adds extreme length making your eyes look bigger. I also love the brush, it glides on lashes with ease and really gets every single lash. This is great for both a day and night look! The best part of this product is that the regular formula that is not waterproof stays on all day and comes off at night without any hassle unlike the waterproof mascaras.

Maybelline Fit Me Blush:

This blush is  perfect if you are trying to add just a touch of color to your checks. I personally love the peachy colors because they look the best with a nice summer tan. Also they have some really nice pinks which you can never go wrong with. Whatever color you pick will look great because this product is amazing!

Soap and Glory Sexy Motherpucker Lip Gloss:

I'm soo excited to announce that the Sexy Motherpucker lip gloss is back! I got this as a gift one year and could not find it anymore anywhere here in the U.S. You can now buy Soap and Glory products at a Sephora near you. I love this gloss because it’s a lip plumper and by the tingle on your lips after a few seconds of application you’ll know how immediate and satisfying the results are. It is really thick and stays on for a while and they recently released more colors! This is a really fun product and is great if you want to make your lips look more voluptuous.

April Favorites

Hey guys!
Hope you all enjoyed the month of April! The weather in Eugene has been quite unpredictable and cold, but with the blooming flowers, campus has never looked so beautiful! Enough about the weather and Eugene, let’s get to the good stuff. Earlier this month a few friends and I went to the local Walmart. I have only been to Walmart a few times and never really bought anything. This time I went crazy in the beauty department. They have really low prices and products you may not find everywhere. I may not have mentioned this yet, but most of the items I feature will be drugstore products that I find to be high quality. I want to make sure that the everything is affordable and worth the purchase. If I  share some high end products it’s only because I feel it is completely worth it. Now lets get into my favorites for this month.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation:

This product has completely changed my life! It is my all time favorite foundation because it’s really light and looks natural on the skin. When I wear this I feel like my skin is glowing and the best part is that it lasts all day, even after I workout. The only downside is that Rimmel doesn't sell this product in the U.S as far as I know. In fact, a good friend of mine purchased my bottle during her trip to London. Have no fear though, this item can be purchased online on asos.com. It is a little bit more expansive online, but it is totally worth it! I’m sure that I  will be using this foundation forever!

NYX Eye Shadow Base:
I
Have any of you applied eyeliner to your upper eyelid and later noticed that it had rubbed off on the crease of your eyelid? Or has your eyeshadow faded or separated into chunks after a while? This was common problem for me before I found this product. I always had to check my makeup to make sure it didn't melt off or spread. The NYX Eyeshadow Base is a primer that you apply on your eyes before applying eyeshadow and or liner. It not only brings out the color of the shadow, but it makes sure that the shadow stays all day without creasing. It also helps to eyeliner to stay on without spreading. This product lasts forever and can be found at any ULTA store.

Wet and Wild: Walking on Eggshells palette 380B:

This is a perfect basic palette! This is my go to when I'm running late and just want a natural look. I also love how it tells you exactly where to apply each shadow. Every girl needs this! It’s affordable, easy to use and looks beautiful with every eye color. I honestly can't say anything more other than to tell you  to go buy this palette right now!

Maybelline Pumped Up Colossal :
This mascara just came out this month, so I thought I would try it out. This is a good everyday mascara. It adds length to lashes and really brings out each individual lash. I call it a everyday mascara because it doesn't make lashes look artificial and overly full, which I usually aim for during the weekend when I'm going out. I also enjoyed the brush on this because it was big and good for really getting every lash. Also this mascara doesn't flake throughout the day which I appreciate and it comes right out when I wash it off at night, without losing all of my lashes.

Nude by Rihanna:
I bought the Rihanna Nude body spray for $8.00 at Walmart! It smells incredible, it’s very sophisticated and light. With it’s floral hints and a touch of amber it’s the perfect scent for summer!. Like any body spray it doesn't last for long periods of time so it is completely appropriate to spray excessively. Luckily the scent isn't suffocating and can be worn both day and night. Rihanna gets a A+ on this one AND $8.00 for a 8 fl oz bottle?! Who can say no to that.

Ed Sheeran Sing:

Also this month I am loving Ed Sheeran's new song “Sing”! This is a little different than his previous music style, but I love it. This song will definitely be on replay this term. Enjoy!

March Favorites!

Hey guys!
I am very excited (to tell you all about my March favorites.) I absolutely love the month of march because not only was it my birthday month, but it was also the Persian New Year and the official arrival of spring! I know that many of you are thinking it isn't even March anymore, but I just couldn't skip my favorite month :(.  I want to share with you all some new products I tried out and loved. These are products I've used over the years that I always come back to them because they are that amazing. So let’s begin!

Maybelline Baby Lips Dr Rescue:

I've heard so many great things about Maybelline's Baby Lips, but just haven't tried it until recently. I got this for my birthday this year in the color 40 Pink Me Up. This product is not only super hydrating, but it also comes in really cute colors! If you aren’t feeling bold enough for bright colors there is no need to worry with this product. I have to say don't let the bright colors fool you, it actually appears really light on your lips. I will say though the Dr Rescue collection doesn't smell fruity like the others it smells similar to Carmax to me, but it is still one of my favorite hydrating lip balms this month.

Philosophy Beach Party Lip Gloss:
I'm not a huge lipstick kind of girl, so most of the time you will see me with just a clear gloss on. Philosophy is one of my favorite brands for lip gloss. It goes on clear and is really sticky, it stays on my lips for a while. The thickness of the gloss definitely makes my lips feel more plump. The best part is each one comes with a cute Philosophy on it! Not only does this product come in array of colors, it also tastes yummy too! I wouldn't recommend just eating it though! This item is great for when you are just going out and want a little extra vavoom added to your makeup. Oh did I mention this product lasts FOREVER! It's incredible I still have the first one I ever purchased two years ago and still love it!

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner:

A good friend of mine introduced me to this product. I personally have really thick hair and my ends are super dry. I use this product religiously because of my hair type. Every time I shower I put a fair amount of this on my ends and wait 3 minutes to wash it out. This product is truly a miracle!! My hair instantly feels nourished and smooth after using it. I would recommend this to everyone who suffers with dry damaged hair. For those who may not have  damaged  hair like I do I would recommend using it just 1-2 a week. Just a tip for any kind of conditioner, try to avoid using it on your roots, because it will make your hair oily and dry up your scalp.

Vince Camuto Travel Size Perfume:
This perfume was a gift I got for my birthday and I'm loving it! I can’ t get enough of travel size perfumes. Not only is it cheaper, but I can afford to buy all my favorite scents. If you are like me and get sick of scents quickly this will be a good trick to use. The Vince Camuto scent is my favorite right now because it has strong floral scent similar to Flower Bomb. The bottle is small and fits perfectly into my handbag and I can travel with it without a worry.

Loreal Voluminous Extra-Volume Collagen Mascara:
I have an obsession with good mascara, I think it is the most important part of completing a look. I'm always trying out new mascaras and this is one of few I keep coming back to. This lengthens my lashes and makes them look really full! This mascara just glides on and has a few clumps. I only use non waterproof mascara because I find it is easier to wash of at the end of the day and doesn't pull out my lashes. I recommend this for everyone, I'm from rainy Oregon and have no serious trouble with my mascara coming off.
